Inclusive Blockchain Conference

The Inclusive Blockchain Conference was held on the evenings of 14th and 15th November 2017. This conference was jointly organised by Singapore University of Social Sciences, Singapore Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Industry Association, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, Ethereum Singapore and Singapore Fintech Association. On the 14th evening, the conference was opened by the Provost, Professor Tsui Kai Chong, who welcomed the guests and noted that the event was being live streamed and recorded for our students. The conference then proceeded to welcome a keynote presentation by Eva Fo and her team from SCRY.INFO, followed by a keynote speech by Vitalik Buterin, the inventor of Ethereum.

On the 15th evening, the conference opened with an SUSS Fellowship Inauguration ceremony, honouring Fintech industry experts who are appointed as SUSS Fellows to provide support and performing the role of resource persons in SUSS’s Fintech education and research initiatives. This was followed by a book launch by Dr. Paul Schulte on his latest publication on “Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain” (More information on Dr. Schulte’s book can be found here). The conference attendees then witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between SUSS and ACCESS as well as between ACCESS and SFA, after which the attendees were invited to attend panel discussions on a diverse range of topics that were held concurrently at different venues. Overall, the Inclusive Blockchain Conference saw a total of approximately 1,200 attendees.
