In this special event, we will bring together a panel of experts to review the basics of financial privacy, AML/KYC, and other applicable financial regulations. The panel will also discuss the functional aspects of zero-knowledge proofs, some real-world examples and how they compare to unshielded transactions.

Liz Steininger is the CEO & Managing Director of Least Authority in Berlin, a company supporting people’s right to privacy through security consulting and building secure solutions. Prior, Liz spent over 18 years supporting the advancement of digital rights, access to information, freedom of expression and open source software as a Program and Project Manager, Strategist and Analyst.
Jack Gavigan is part of the team at the Electric Coin Company (ECC), which created the Zcash cryptocurrency. He has a background in financial technology, cyber security and trading systems, gained at companies like Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and Morgan Stanley (where he also worked as a trader). Jack leads ECC’s regulatory relations efforts, engaging with regulators and policy makers to help them understand the implications of Zcash’s privacy-preserving technology from an AML / CFT perspective.
Nasim Jenkouk is a laywer at Annerton’s Munich office and advises domestic and international clients from the payment services, customer loyalty & vouchers, identity management and e-commerce industries as well as factoring and technology. She specialises in data protection and IT law, anti-money laundering law, banking & banking supervisory law as well as payment services and payment services supervision law, compliance and outsourcing.
Raymond Yeh is a software engineer at Government Technology Agency (GovTech). He has launched OpenAttestation, the framework powering Singapore’s digital education certificate initiative, OpenCerts, and the trade documents framework, TradeTrust. He is also an author at geek.sg where he writes about decentralized ledger technologies and zero knowledge proofs.
